The values that shape us early often guide us the longest..

I grew up with it.
I grew through it.
A recent visit to Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) reminded me:
No titles matter here.
No status carries weight.
Everyone enters the same way.
Everyone sits on the same floor.
Everyone is served the same food.
These lessons weren’t new to me but they felt timely.
As leaders, we often talk about humility, service, and trust.
Here, those ideas aren’t spoken. They’re practiced quietly, consistently, every single day.
Watching volunteers serve without recognition reminds me: Leadership is not about position.
It’s about how we show up for others especially when no one is watching.
Some values stay with you for life.
The good ones don’t fade. They deepen.
